ALEXEY LIKHACHEV

«In light of the current political situation, the Northern Sea Route is of particular importance. It is worth noting the last instruction of the President of Russia and the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation on the transfer of authority to manage all maritime traffic on the NSR to the management circuit of the State Corporation Rosatom. And it is very symbolic that this year the 90th anniversary of the Main Directorate of the Northern Sea Route, which was headed by the famous Otto Yulievich Schmidt, will be celebrated.»

General Director of Rosatom State Corporation

MIKHAIL MISHUSTIN

«Russia does not see itself without a powerful ship fleet. We must have a strong shipbuilding industry. To do so, our shipyards will have to engage in deep localisation of production for all types of ships from nuclear-powered icebreakers, gas carriers, tankers and container ships to small river boats. The same goes for ship maintenance. I would like to note that we have a programme to develop our own diesel industry to equip the sea fleet and the river fleet with propulsion equipment. Once we have implemented this, we will meet our domestic needs for low- and high-speed engines.»

DENIS MANTUROV

«Nowadays, the loading of the shipbuilding industry at 63 enterprises consists of approximately 300 ships and marine equipment. At the same time, the needs of state and non-state customers will amount to more than 700 vessels of various types by 2035. Due to the importance of equipment replacement and the lack of supplies from foreign partners, we need verified ship equipment to ensure seriality and technological independence.»
